Cleveland Containers attends LAMMA 2016
As you are aware, Cleveland Containers recently expanded into the bunded oil tank, diesel dispensing tank, portable diesel dispensing tank and steel diesel tank market.
To promote these new services, we thought it would be a good idea to exhibit at some of the UK’s agricultural shows, to teach people more about Cleveland Containers and what we can now provide.
We pride ourselves on always wanting to aim high and be up there with the best, so first of all we headed to LAMMA - the UK’s leading farm machinery, equipment and services show - held in Peterborough on the 20th and 21st of January.
With more than 900 exhibitors and over 40,000 people visiting across the two days, we knew this was the perfect show for us to attend and showcase our new products.
The event proved a huge success for us and even the winter temperatures – it reached minus four degrees on Thursday morning – didn’t deter the crowds. We had two extremely busy days, talking to lots of people who were interested in the range of both bunded oil and fuel tanks we had with us on show.
One tank getting a lot of attention was the 9000 litre FuelMaster. At nearly three meters tall, it definitely stands out and certainly grabbed the attention of many people who were keen to know more about it.
Throughout the show we met people from all over the country and we were delighted to meet one gentleman, who had bought a container from us only a couple days prior to the event. It was great to meet one of our customers face to face and talk to him about what he’ll be using his container for.
As well as our new range of tanks, we also took down a new 20ft side opening container and a 10ft chemical storage container. It was amazing to see how many enquiries we got about our containers and how knowledgeable the farming community is about shipping containers. High levels of security on a farm are vital for farmers and this use - just one of the many ways our shipping containers are used - was highlighted throughout the course of the two days.
After the show, our managing director, Johnathan Bulmer, said:
“This was our first time attending a show like this and it couldn’t have gone better.
“We wanted to have a presence at LAMMA, as we think it’s very important to raise the awareness of the Cleveland Containers brand, especially now we have entered into the bunded tank market.
“The quality of people who attended the show was very good and we left with many meaningful enquiries into our bunded tanks and shipping containers.”
We all had a great time at LAMMA and can’t wait to go back and do it all again next year!
Thanks to Rob Underwood, a BBC Radio & TV Presenter, for coming along to our stand and interviewing our managing director, Johnathan Bulmer.
