Cleveland Containers heads to YAMS 2016
Having had a successful time at LAMMA in January, we got back out on the road again to attend the York Agricultural Machinery Show (YAMS).
YAMS - held at York Auction Centre on the 3rd of February - was a much smaller show than LAMMA, but still had more than 200 exhibitors.
The show attracted a more local group crowd, with the majority of people coming from Yorkshire and its surrounding areas.
Despite the smaller scale of this event, the car park was overflowing with more than 4000 cars and it was estimated more than 10,000 people attended - a 50% increase on the previous year’s attendance figure.
Our stand was located in a prime position - on the end of two aisles - which meant we were visited by a huge amount of people throughout the day. Some people stopped by for a hot drink, some stopped to look at our leaflets and ask us questions and some took the time to enter into our competition to win an iPad mini - which we are running alongside the launch of our fantastic new website.
We managed to take down all the tanks we had previously taken to LAMMA to the show, including a used 20ft container. We had plenty of interest in the container and we were able to discuss how containers are ideal if you are looking for a simple, secure storage solution.
Once again, the day was a huge success with lots of enquiries about the diesel dispensing tanks and bunded oil tanks, however containers were definitely the star of the show. So much so, we ended up selling the used 20ft container before we headed back to our HQ.
Johnathan Bulmer, our managing director, said:
“Coming to YAMS off the back of LAMMA, we were expecting a quieter time, however it was quite the opposite.
“Several times throughout the day there was a queue to speak to us and by mid-afternoon we had run out of business cards.
“I am very pleased with how both YAMS and LAMMA went, we achieved what we wanted to which was increasing the awareness of the Cleveland Containers brand.”
As you can see from the time lapse video above, we were very busy indeed!
The next show we are looking to exhibit at is the Great Yorkshire Show from the 12th to the 14th of July, so look out for us (you can’t really miss us and our containers) and we hope to see you there.
