Cladded Chemical Storage Container

A customer in the transport sector required secure, practical storage for chemicals such as rock salt.

These materials had previously been stored at the end of station platforms, so a safer and more effective solution was needed - particularly as one of the locations was public-facing and required a smart, professional finish. We delivered two modified chemical storage containers: a 20ft New One Trip Container and a 40ft New One Trip Container, tailored to meet the site’s specific operational needs.

The 20ft container was resprayed grey and fully cladded to suit its location at a busy station. This unit features side doors, vents, and a drain valve, allowing chemicals to be stored safely while remaining accessible for staff.

The 40ft container was repainted grey and fitted with bunded flooring, a drain valve, and additional vents for safe chemical storage. Keeping its original end cargo doors and receiving a new set of 8ft side doors, making it easier to load and unload chemicals using a forklift.

Both containers provide efficient, organised, and secure storage, improving workflow and safety while keeping chemicals protected. These bespoke modifications show how shipping containers can be adapted to meet practical on-site requirements, making chemical storage safer, easier, and more efficient.
