20ft Open Top Shipping Containers
Overview
A 20ft open top shipping container is designed for cargo that can’t be loaded through the doors or needs to be lifted in from above.
The steel roof is replaced with a removable tarpaulin and roof bows, giving clear vertical access for bulky, irregular or oversized items. Built from Corten steel to ISO standards, the 20ft open top offers the same strength and protection as a standard shipping container, with multiple lashing points for securing loads during transport.
This type of container is commonly used for materials such as timber, stone, machinery, pipes, bagged goods, grains and other items that benefit from top loading. Once filled, the tarpaulin is secured in place to keep the contents protected throughout transit or on-site storage.
