Shipping Container Delivery & Site Preparation

Preparing your site before your shipping container arrives is essential to ensuring a smooth, safe and successful delivery.

At Cleveland Containers, we want to make the delivery process as straightforward as possible. To help avoid delays, failed deliveries or unexpected additional charges, please review the following site access, ground preparation and positioning requirements before your scheduled delivery date.

Before Your Container Arrives

Our delivery vehicles require sufficient space to safely access your site, manoeuvre and unload your shipping container.

It's essential that all access routes are clear of obstacles, with adequate turning space and suitable ground conditions to ensure your container can be delivered and positioned safely and efficiently.

Site Access Requirements

To ensure a smooth and successful delivery, it's important that your site is fully prepared before your container arrives.

There are several key requirements to consider to help our delivery vehicles safely access your site, position your container and avoid any unnecessary delays or additional charges.

  • Minimum Access Width

Vehicle access to your site must be at least 12ft (3.66m) wide.

  • Clear Access Routes

Routes to the container's final position must be free from parked vehicles, equipment and other obstacles, with no sharp turns that could restrict the delivery vehicle.

  • Firm Ground Conditions

Delivery vehicles must not be required to drive over grass, soft ground or other unsuitable surfaces.

If you're unsure whether your site is suitable for delivery or need to make any changes or provide additional information, please contact your sales representative at least 48 hours before your scheduled delivery date to avoid any additional charges.
