Thank you for purchasing products from Cleveland Containers Ltd (“the Company”, “we”, “us”, “our”).

SHIPPING CONTAINERS

New Shipping Containers

Warranty Period: Up to sixty (60) months from the date of delivery (excluding bespoke builds unless otherwise agreed in writing).

Coverage: During the Warranty Period, the Company warrants that the container shall:

Be as described at the point of sale; and be free from structural defects in materials and workmanship under normal use.

Exclusions: This warranty does not cover cosmetic marks, minor dents, surface rust, paint blemishes, or aesthetic imperfections; Damage caused by misuse, modification, poor maintenance, improper siting, ground conditions, third-party alteration or fair wear and tear.
 

Used Shipping Containers

Warranty Period: Three (3) months from the date of delivery (excluding bespoke builds).

Coverage: The Company warrants that the container shall be wind and watertight at the point of supply.

Exclusions: This warranty excludes cosmetic condition, surface rust, dents, patches, or age-related wear;

Deterioration following delivery; damage arising from misuse, modification, relocation, poor maintenance, or external factors.

REFRIGERATED CONTAINERS

New Refrigerated Containers

Coverage: New refrigerated containers are supplied with a manufacturer-backed warranty, subject to the manufacturer’s terms and conditions.

Unless otherwise specified in writing:

Twelve (12) months warranty applies to the container shell; Five (5) years parts-only warranty applies to the refrigeration unit. The Company shall not be liable for labour costs unless expressly agreed in writing. All manufacturer warranties are subject to proper installation, commissioning, servicing, and maintenance in accordance with manufacturer guidelines.

 
Used Refrigerated Containers

Warranty Period: Three (3) months parts-only warranty from the date of delivery, provided the unit has been commissioned by the Company.

Coverage: This limited warranty applies only to specified refrigeration parts confirmed at sale.

Exclusions: This warranty excludes: Labour costs; Call-out charges; Consumables; Cosmetic condition; Failures resulting from incorrect power supply, improper operation, lack of maintenance, or external damage.
 

SITE ACCOMMODATION (NEW)

Structural Warranty: Ten (10) years from date of delivery covering main structural elements only.

Product Warranty: Twelve (12) months from date of delivery covering non-structural items against defects in materials or workmanship.

Parts Warranty: Twelve (12) months parts-only warranty on remaining components unless otherwise specified.

Exclusions: The warranty does not cover: Labour costs (unless expressly stated); Consumables; Cosmetic deterioration; Damage arising from misuse, modification, relocation, ground movement, weather events, vandalism, or inadequate maintenance. Routine inspection and maintenance are required to maintain warranty validity. 

REMEDY

During the applicable Warranty Period, and subject to verification of a valid claim, the Company shall, at its sole discretion:

Repair the defective product or part; or Supply replacement parts; or Replace the product (or relevant part thereof). The Company’s total liability under this Warranty shall not exceed the original purchase price of the product supplied.

CLAIMS PROCEDURE

To obtain warranty service, the purchaser must:

Notify the Company in writing within the applicable Warranty Period;
Provide proof of purchase and delivery date;
Provide reasonable evidence of the defect;
Allow reasonable access for inspection where required.
Failure to comply with the above may invalidate the claim. 

GENERAL

This Warranty:

Is limited to the original purchaser unless otherwise agreed in writing;
Does not extend or restart upon repair unless expressly stated;
Is subject in all respects to the Company’s full Terms and Conditions of Sale.
Nothing in this Warranty shall exclude or limit liability where such limitation is prohibited by law.
