Heat and Power Services approached us with a requirement for a secure, fully functional switch room to house high-voltage switch gear on site.
To meet their needs, we supplied a 20ft high cube (one trip) container, tailored to support their operational requirements.
The container was fully resprayed in RAL 6005, providing a professional and durable finish. A graffotherm treatement was applied to the underside of the ceiling to help regulate temperature, while the interior was lined with 18mm plywood for additional protection.
To support airflow and maintain suitable operating conditions for the equipment, louvre vents were installed. Four gland plates were also fitted, allowing flexible electrical connections and providing secure entry and exit points for cabling.
The finished conversion offers ample space for high-voltage equipment, along with easy access for installation and future maintenance.
This project highlights how converted shipping containers can provide practical, adaptable solutions for specialist industrial applications such as energy infrastructure.
