Rudding Park

Rudding Park is a hotel, golf and spa resort in Harrogate, North Yorkshire, offering a range of leisure experiences for visitors.

Newly opened in 2026, the resort is home to the Great Yorkshire Golf Adventure, an immersive mini golf course celebrating Yorkshire's famous landmarks, icons and legends. Cleveland Containers converted a 10ft shipping container into a kiosk to support the attraction, providing a dedicated space for ticket sales and refreshments.

A 10ft shipping container converted into a golf kiosk

The project involved a bespoke shipping container conversion, turning a 10ft shipping container into a practical kiosk for the Great Yorkshire Golf Adventure. A serving hatch was added along the side of the unit, providing a convenient point for serving customers.

The conversion also incorporated features from our Cleveland XTRAS range, including a personnel door at one end, electrics and lighting. These additions provide a functional working space for staff to manage ticket sales and serve refreshments to visitors.

A cladded shipping container with a practical finish

To complement the attraction's setting, the container was clad and finished with signage, transforming the original shipping container into a kiosk suited to the adventure golf course.

The wood-clad shipping container provides a more distinctive appearance than a standard container, while retaining the practical benefits of a converted unit. The serving hatch, personnel door, electrics and lighting were all incorporated to support its intended use as a customer-facing refreshment kiosk.

Supporting the Great Yorkshire Golf Adventure

Inside the kiosk, Rudding Park added fridges for refreshments alongside a desk and working area for staff to sell tickets and serve customers. Bringing these functions together in one compact space helps the attraction manage visitor arrivals and refreshments from a dedicated point at the course.

This project demonstrates how a 10ft shipping container can be converted into a customer-facing kiosk for leisure attractions, with cladding, signage and practical internal features helping it meet the requirements of its setting.
