Uddingston Self Storage
Established in 2018, Uddingston Self Storage has grown from a small family start-up into a thriving 160-container site supplied by Cleveland Containers.
Located on a one-acre site in Uddingston, Scotland, the family saw a clear gap in the local market for flexible and accessible self storage - which inspired them to purchase their first 13 containers. The goal was to meet the growing demand for secure and convenient storage in the area.
After quickly reaching full occupancy, one of the founders, Kerry Gorman, placed a bulk order of 60 new containers to support the company’s continued growth and meet increasing customer demand. The business has since expanded significantly and now operates with 160 containers.
Working with Cleveland over the past few years has accelerated our growth due to the competitive pricing of containers, the fantastic customer service, and the quality of the containers themselves. It’s been a valuable partnership for us.
Kerry, Uddingston Self Storage
Kerry is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the facility - covering everything from maintaining the site to managing social media and ensuring excellent customer service.
With demand continuing to grow, Uddingston Self Storage is actively exploring opportunities for expansion, both on the current site and potentially at new locations.
From a small start-up to a thriving 160-unit facility, Uddingston Self Storage is a strong example of how local, family-owned businesses can successfully scale with the right vision, dedication, and partnerships.
