Tim from The Waste Group joined us to discuss his venture into the container storage market and how he runs his skip hire business alongside his storage sites.
We welcomed Tim Ankers, Managing Director of The Waste Group, to sit down with our National Account Manager, Charlotte Topping, for episode 6 - Bin it or Keep it?: Waste Management's Leap into Self Storage.
Tim runs a successful skip hire and waste management business based in Dorset, but in 2021 he found himself scratching his head over what to do with spare land at his waste facility site that had been vacant for a number of years.
Undertaking thorough research and discussing his options with family and colleagues, Tim decided to test the water by offering container storage solutions and lo and behold, The Storage Containers was born.
He did not anticipate the demand for storage and expanded by opening new sites much quicker than originally intended. Check out his episode to hear how he simultaneously manages both businesses and why entering the storage industry is a decision he doesn’t regret.
