Cleveland has added three senior appointments to the team as we continue our expansion.

Last November, we announced the launch of the Cleveland Group, which encompasses the container arm along with two new divisions: Cleveland Hire and Cleveland Modular

The Cleveland group has launched into the hire and modular markets, building on the back of an already hugely impressive business. The ambition and drive within the entire team is something that is clear to see, and that appetite to succeed is contagious.

To drive continued growth, we have recently appointed three women to senior positions. Laura Moore who has more than a decade of experience in the hire industry has been taken on as Facilities Director, and Hayley Hedley who is MCIPS qualified with 16 years’ experience in senior procurement joins as Head of Commercial. Suzanne Elliott joins from Procomm as Head of Modular Sales.

All three bring extensive industry, customer, and commercial experience to the business. Over the past year, our growth has been remarkable, in both financial and headcount terms; we started 2022 with 46 employees and ended the year with 70.

The construction industry as a whole is becoming more diverse, and the benefits are well-documented – teams can view situations from different angles, gaining a broader company perspective and outlook. However, with these appointments, we’ve chosen the best people in the industry to reflect our market-leading position and irrespective of their sex, they have valuable experience and an excellent track record.

The main reason for joining Cleveland was their ambition and the opportunity to create something from scratch. I’m looking forward to growing Cleveland Modular to a recognised name in the hire industry.

While all three were hired for their talent and experience, their arrival has reduced the gap between the proportion of male and female employees at Cleveland to 54 per cent male, 46 female.

Cleveland have been hugely successful in the container market and that is credit to the existing team. I’m excited by the opportunity to be part of their next chapter and work alongside a dynamic team with enthusiasm to diverse into different markets and support the business in achieving its ambitious growth plans.
