An electric hook-up business required safe and secure storage for their equipment so contacted Cleveland Containers to supply five modified 10ft One Trip Shipping Containers.

Our team began fabrication of the bespoke racking situated inside each unit. These custom-built benches were designed to hold heavy equipment so it was necessary for them to have as much support as possible. To provide stability the benches were stitch welded to the container.

Stitch welding is frequently used on modified containers as the gaps in the weld allows the heat to disperse, reducing the risk of any distortion to the original container structure.

Due to the cargo doors being obstructed by the positioning of the bespoke racking, an outwards opening personnel door was added to the side of the unit providing easy access inside.
