When both workspace and storage are needed on site, a container conversion is a smart, all-in-one solution. 50/50 office stores are a popular choice for teams looking for a secure place to work with convenient access to tools, equipment, or materials.

For this build, Kinectrics approached us to create a unit that could function as both a practical office and a designated store - all within a single 20ft container. Kinectrics are a company that develops innovative solutions for the global electricity and medical industries, helping to empower a sustainable future. 

We began by installing a full-height partition to divide the container into two distinct areas, then equipped both sections with electrics and lighting to support everyday use.

The office side includes a single personnel door and two shuttered windows. The door allows secure, convenient access for staff, while the windows introduce natural light, creating a brighter and more comfortable workspace. Steel shutters provide added security when the unit is not in use - ideal for remote or unsupervised sites.

The storage area includes ply lining for a clean, durable finish that protects the container walls, double personnel doors for wider access to larger items, and two small lockable access panels.

Finished in a fresh RAL 5015 respray, the unit has a clean, professional look that stands out on site. It now forms part of Kinectrics’ High Voltage Direct Current testing kit, serving as a support unit for cable testing - with the flexibility to be deployed across multiple global projects.
