The successful nomination for this category follows a record-breaking year for Cleveland Containers in which the business grew by 73%, and increased employee headcount by 32%.

Companies shortlisted for this award must demonstrate a strong or growing market share in their chosen niche and use innovative approaches to successfully pioneer new markets. The judges are looking for businesses that have that something special, are admired throughout the business community and from which other businesses can all learn.

Cleveland Containers is one of only three companies shortlisted for the Teesside Company of the Year category, sponsored by Tees Valley Business. 

The winners of this award will then go head-to head with the winners of the sub-regional titles in Northumberland & Tyneside, and Durham, Sunderland & South Tyneside for the overall title of North East Company of the Year.
