Vaults & Vehicles Self Storage opened in 2020, after company director, Waseem Khalil acquired industrial land to develop in Middlesbrough the previous year.

Aware of the rise in self storage requirements and with a fully concrete site situated close to Middlesbrough town centre, Waseem seized the opportunity to use part of his land to embark on his self storage venture.

Opting to purchase 20ft Used Shipping Containers to keep costs down, the units are painted blue on the front and back to create a professional, uniform look of the site, replicating the appearance that One Trip Containers would provide.

As containers on self storage sites are often positioned tightly next to each other, the sides are not visible, so it is unnecessary to pay for the units to be fully painted unless they are placed at the end of a row. 

The lower upfront costs give the business the advantage of offering their customers reduced rates for storage, even though used containers still have the benefits of being wind and water tight with multiple air vents.

The site is only a five-minute drive from our Middlesbrough depot and workshop where the paintwork was carried out. Since 2020, Vaults & Vehicles Self Storage has purchased more than 100 containers from us.
