Modifications are typically completed on our standard size units such as 20ft and 40ft. However our 10ft containers are becoming increasingly more popular for bespoke projects, due to their smaller size when space may be limited.

The customer approached us requiring a bespoke storage facility for workshop materials using a 10ft Standard One Trip Container. To begin, our modifications team started the fabrication work, for a personnel door and a roller shutter to be installed. Replacing the cargo doors, an outward opening personnel door was fitted as the racking inside compromised some of the internal space.

Lighting and electrics were installed onto hard spot plates as standard, providing a mounting point for both the sockets and lights.

The customer requested some pre-fabricated standard racking as well as a bespoke workbench to cater to their storage requirements. The custom-built benches were built to the required height and width, with an additional shelf on only one bottom half. Leaving space on one half allows the electrical sockets to be accessible as well as a storage option for taller items.

A manual roller shutter was then internally fitted to provide easy distribution of materials and equipment.

To complete the conversion, the container was externally re-painted in RAL 5017 (traffic blue) ready for the customer to utilise as a materials and equipment store.
