The Tees Rivers Trust
The conservation charity has added two 20ft Side Opening Containers to its collection of Cleveland units.
Established in 2008, the Tees Rivers Trust is charitable organisation committed to improving and conserving the water quality and habitat of the River Tees.
With a new mariculture facility in Hartlepool, the charity has purchased a 32ft Office, 32ft Double Office with Canteen and Toilet, and a modified 40ft High Cube Container from us for the team to work from. The modifications include easy-clean vinyl flooring, a grafotherm treatment to the roof to reduce condensation, melamine lining and insulation, and two air conditioning units.
The converted container is used as a laboratory for processing seagrass seeds that are later placed into the Tees Estuary when they have a greater chance of surviving. One side of the unit features a long row of racking which houses tanks of seagrass plant pots with water circulating. The container provides an ideal environment as it can be kept at a constant temperature and has the space needed to process multiple seagrass seeds and plants.
More recently, the team identified a growing requirement for more storage space and returned to Cleveland Containers to purchase two 20ft Side Opening Containers, which offer flexibility for their future plans.
Currently the containers are used for storage, but they could easily be adapted when bags need to be prepared for seagrass planting to become workshops. Side Openers enable quick access to the entire length of the unit and are extremely versatile as to what they can be used for because of the greater accessibility.
We returned to Cleveland Containers because of the range of units they have available within budget, and their ability to deliver exactly what we need within the right timescale. When dealing with the team, they are helpful and friendly, and provide answers to queries quickly.
